Mental Health Campus Partnership Contest
Advancing mental health awareness and support among students through scholarships and internships
About the Contest
We invite you to participate in our scholarship/internship contest aimed at fostering partnerships with educational institutions. The goal is to engage students in mental health awareness and provide students in need with free mental health support and resources.
Five selected contest winners will receive a scholarship or paid internship, where they will collaborate with our team to implement their proposal. At least one prize will be reserved for a participant living in a California county designated as a mental health professional shortage region by HRSA.
About Alter Health Group
Alter Health Group is a behavioral healthcare organization committed to helping individuals live fulfilling, joyful lives.
We run a network of evidence-based treatment programs, and also provide peer crisis and emotional support for the CalHOPE program through our BeWellLine warm line and Mindfuli virtual counseling platform.
About CalHOPE
CalHOPE is a Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training Program managed by the California Department of Health Care Services through the California Mental Health Services Authority. Its mission is to foster community resilience and offer crisis support for those impacted by the mental health crisis.
The Contest Challenge
Create a proposal to introduce the Alter Health Group CalHOPE program to your campus. The proposal should detail a feasible plan for a rapid adoption of this program and promotion of these free mental health resources on your campus, either in-person or through a digital marketing campaign. The proposal should highlight AHG’s BeWellLine and Mindfuli platforms as resources for free social, emotional, and crisis support.
Eligibility Requirements
- Enrolled in a California high school, college, or university
- Resident of the state of California
- Parental/guardian permission is required for those under 18
- Submissions will be considered on a rolling basis
Rewards
Five winners will be chosen for either a $5000 scholarship program or a paid internship, based on personal preference, where they will work with team members from Alter Health Group to bring their proposal to life.
